Title: So Sweet Kitchen
Intro: 50 Recettes originales concoctées par Emmanuel Delaby – Le cuisine helveétique c’est ludique!

“La meilleure des recettes est la fantasie” – Louis Delaby.
The book is, first of all, a present from the agency that has created it so it has not only a double cover with the agency’s Xmas wishes (it was used as Christmas present for clients in 2011) but it also has the great meaning of receiving it from the people who put it together and were the brains behind this very cool idea.
Secondly it is a very interesting example of making a cooking book different from all the others you can find on the shelves: it has the design element that I loved so much the first time I saw it, and now I’m glad I have my own copy!
If you are a bit crazy for cooking books – like me – this is definitely one you would like to add to your collection.
It could also be a very lovely and funny present.
If you are looking for a book with easy recipes this could again be a good option as each recipe has a little table that will give you clear information on the cooking time, difficulty, cost etc.
But if you are looking for more traditional recipes or you are quite a good chef, this is not your book, unless you buy it because you like the design and the way it is written.
The chef who put the recipes together uses Swiss products – this was the main idea behind it! – and creates recipes with things like the Swiss equivalent of English Marmite, the famous Toblerone and others, giving you a few lines of introduction to explain where the idea came from.
Honestly I don’t know how many of the Swiss Sweet Kitchen recipes I will try out – probably I’m not Suisse enough to buy most of the listed products! – but I love the idea, the photos, the drink section at the end and the Crème brulée au Toblerone…
*I am quoting this book for various recipes in the blog.
